Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) engineering is seeking a business operations manager for the Advanced Concepts & Technology (ACT) mission area. The business manager will be responsible for all aspects of engineering management within the ACT mission area and requires daily interaction with other functional managers to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. The person in this role must also be able to partner with finance, operations, and supply chain while being responsible for collection, analyzing and making recommendations associated with resource loading and management across all SAS sites that perform for ACT.
The operations manager will directly support the ACT Business Area Chief Engineer (BACE) and the ACT PACE’s and is responsible for providing extensive support and coordination of a wide range of initiatives, both strategic and tactical. This position provides support to the BACE and PACEs daily activities, including engineering staffing forecast and actual, coordination of engineering highlights/issues/EV to support Engineering Program Review and ACT Ops review. This position also helps with weekly status reporting, supporting engineering cost reduction initiatives to improve program position in domestic and international pursuits. The incumbent must track, analyze and evaluate headcount performance tied to ACT revenue forecasts and alignment to finance and must ensure the ACT BACE organization is focused on critical areas for performance improvement.
This position requires the ability to accurately prioritize requests and actions based on critical business needs, in addition to possessing a high degree of business acumen and discreetness.
