Raytheon is seeking an energetic and motivated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our environmental compliance and risk reduction efforts. This role reports to the IDS Manager of Environmental Compliance and Sustainability and primarily involves environmental and sustainability program responsibilities. The successful candidate will join a diverse EHS team with opportunities for involvement in our ongoing EHS risk reduction and continuous improvement efforts across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting national and international business locations in successfully implementing environmental compliance programs to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements.

Serving as a point of contact for multi-media environmental compliance including managing air and wastewater permit compliance, overseeing solid and hazardous waste management, and completing required environmental reporting.

Identifying environmental risk and completing due diligence; investigating root cause for environmental incidents.

Investigating and resolving environmental compliance questions and concerns.
Conducting and documenting inspections and corrective actions in a timely manner.
Interfacing with Raytheon EHS employees across the country and with regulatory agencies where required.

Developing and implementing programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance programs.

Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Required Skills:

Minimum of 4 years applicable experience

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of federal, state, and international environmental regulatory requirements and auditing
Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with environmental issues in a complex manufacturing environment
Experience with wastewater treatment, hazardous waste, air, stormwater, refrigerants
Experience with EHS Management Information Systems
Project management and execution skills
Existing security clearance

Required Education:

B.S. /B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics or other related field.
