Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, a highly talented CEI Project Engineer/Administrator for employment in the NW Florida area. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in performing Construction Engineering and Inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities throughout NW Florida.

Responsible for managing AECOM CEI projects. Expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems. Directs and assigns specific tasks to administrative staff, Contract Support Specialists and Inspectors and assists in all phases of construction projects.

  • Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.

  • Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.

  • May provide the primary client contact for all job site day to day activities or may coordinate with client’s resident representatives on job site activities within assigned area of operations.

  • Responsibilities are to ensure assigned job site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

  • Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 8+ years of responsible and related engineering experience, two (2) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures

  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification

  • Pass CTQP QC Manager Examination

  • CTQP Final Estimates 2

  • Prior experience as a CEI Project Engineer/Administrator on FDOT CEI projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • Engineering experience in the construction of major road or bridge structure
