This position is for a junior security administrator to partner with fellow security personnel professionals at our Chantilly, VA office. Individual must possess a working knowledge of the NISPOM and be skilled with JPAS, e-QIP and clearance processing.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Review and process security clearances
Conduct clearance checks
Process outgoing visit requests and certifications
Maintain the personnel security database
Prepare management reports as required
Secret Security clearance
Working knowledge of JPAS and e-QIP
High School Degree or GED with 2-3 years of personnel security experience
Knowledgeable in the use of JPAS, and e-QIP
Proficient in MSOffice and Excel
Solid command of the English language with strong written and verbal skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive personal information.
Characteristics necessary for success include: demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; skill in resolving problems impacting people, process and program issues; positive projection of presence through verbal and written communications and presentations; the ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles; the ability to operate independently where appropriate, and an understanding as to when to escalate issues to higher appropriate levels for review, guidance and/or resolution; the ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, subordinates and superiors through contributions provided in team settings, working groups, and committees; ability to provide constructive feedback to employees and management at all levels.
