This Technical Leadership role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to focus on project delivery and mentoring a young engineering staff. The successful candidate will focus on all aspects of design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration of municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including conveyance and pumping systems, and be willing to mentor our junior staff. Our staff have excellent client relationships and backlog in our region.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering- preferably Civil or Environmental
6+ years of progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design, assessment, and rehabilitation to include conveyance and pumping systems.
Licensed Professional Engineer in NC or be able to obtain within 6 months.
Demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to successfully direct multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience groups including clients, the public, regulatory staff, sub-consultants, and internal technical staff.
Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully delivering water and wastewater projects, resulting in securing additional projects from clients.
Must have a valid driver's license
Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals.
Occasional business travel of one to three days per month may be required.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Experience in preparation of engineering proposals for submission to clients.
20+ years of progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design, assessment and rehabilitation to include conveyance and pumping systems.
