We are seeking a Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our team at the White Sands Complex (WSC) in Las Cruces, NM.
Peraton is the prime contractor for NASA at the WSC near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Operating here are two functionally identical satellite ground terminals: The White Sands Ground Terminal, and the Second TDRSS Ground Terminal. These ground terminals ensure uninterrupted communications between various ground stations, NASA's orbiting fleet of Tracking and Data Relay Satellites (TDRS), customer spacecraft (satellites), and the computer systems that support such spacecraft. WSC serves as an interface for distributing satellite data to control centers and scientists who then use the daily influx of data to expand our ever-growing knowledge of the Earth and the universe.

What you'll do:
Provide SI&T services for the TDRSS/SN to include: facilities, space, ground, customer service and network communications systems.
Independently coordinate and collaborate with interdepartmental personnel from a variety of disciplines to organize working groups in order to develop scenario testing, procedures, documentation, and operator training.
Participate in scheduling meetings, and coordinate with the scheduling department to support the identification of tasks, interrelationships, inter-dependencies, as well as disconnects, with other systems that integration and testing activities may affect.
Support development of system Engineering Modification (EM) plans, systems integration plans and system technical requirements.
Coordinate and support developmental and operational test events to facilitate systems integration test execution activities.
Execute requirements verification and validation plans, and collect test artifacts.
Monitor subcontractor design, integration, and test progress.
Write technical policies, procedures, and documentation
Provide training packages to operations and maintenance personnel as required.
Written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with peers.
Familiarity with software build, and configuration management practices.

You'd be a great fit if you have:
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or sciences discipline.
5+ years of related experience with systems integration.
3+ years of experience in evaluating and testing software performance.
The ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance

It'd be even better if you have:
An active SECRET security clearance.
The ability to coordinate and work with multiple tasks, projects, and personnel from a variety of disciplines.
Prior experience with NASA TDRSS/SN systems Operations and Maintenance.
Prior experience with the development, testing, and Operations & Maintenance of the Blossom Point Remote Station (BPRS).

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
