AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Glasgow (or Edinburgh). You will be responsible for leading electrical engineering in the delivery of medium and small MEP or multi-disciplinary projects, as well as supporting more senior engineers in delivery of large, multi-disciplinary projects.

About Our Team
The MEP team in Scotland work together from dual locations (Edinburgh and Glasgow) delivering a combination of local and international projects. The team has extensive experience in healthcare, education and industrial projects, particularly specialising in existing buildings. Projects include the NE Hub with Hub West and NHS GG&C, QMRI with the University of Edinburgh and are actively engaged in new opportunities both in our own right and as part of AECOM’s multi-disciplinary offering.
Will support electrical engineering team lead in delivery of large multi-disciplinary projects
Will lead electrical engineering in delivery of medium and small MEP or multi-disciplinary projects.
Will undertake AECOM MEP Scotland deputy project manager role (may also include project manager role) for medium and small MEP or multi-disciplinary projects.
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Preferably CEng. Minimum MEng (or Masters equivalent).
Electrical project engineering experience, within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
Expected to travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow as necessary to fulfil project and team working requirements
Ideally will have experience in healthcare and industrial sectors.
Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate
