Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Electrical Field Engineers for immediate openings based out of our Oakland, CA office.

These positions will be responsible for assisting client in coordinating and managing a group of smaller electrical distribution projects.

Level specific responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, performs routine duties.

  • Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.

  • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.

  • Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.

  • Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.

  • May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education (AS plus 6 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma / GED plus 8 years of relevant experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous field engineering experience supporting utility / power projects in CA is strongly preferred
