Job Summary
 
Manages all personnel, administration, budgetary, support services and welfare functions associated with the daily running of site. Responsible for the formulation and implementation of all local personnel and administrative policies to satisfy the requirements of the USAF and the local Government. Provides quality performance in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
 
Principal Accountabilities
  • Responsible for providing the correct environment and professional support to the USAF Contracted workforce to ensure all tasks are carried out to a high level of competence.
  • Provides for the maintenance of high professional standards of performance within the department and throughout the site.
  • Recommends and provides training needs.
  • Re-evaluates objectives and the management and control of corrective action where required.
  • Ensures regular meetings with the Site Manager to review departmental objectives and performance.
  • Provides for the management and control of the performance and activities of staff within Estates, Budgeting, Catering and Welfare areas of work.
  • Responsible for accommodating and provisioning all transit personnel.
  • Monitors and reports on accidents, work related or domestic, and retains records of such incidents making recommendations to the Site Manager as required.
  • Provides for the management and control of all staff accommodations, accommodation maintenance and catering facilities.
  • Responsible for the specialist advice regarding subsistence, welfare and disciplinary related matters to the Site Manager.
  • Provides a flexible response to other duties, which may be required in the interests of the customer.
  • Ensures a flexible approach to working hours through on-call and out-of-hours responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.

 

Knowledge & Skills

 

  • Knowledge of best practices in human resources and government regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Professional speaking ability directly to a person via the telephone or internet.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in assigned function and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years business experience within the HR field.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Works in normal office environment
