The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC’s IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC. Currently, we are seeking an Deskside Engineer - Senior in Washington, D.C. The work schedule will be 7am through 4pm Monday through Friday. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance, per contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Experience: 

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing desk side support, specializing in Apple hardware and MAC operating systems.  

  •  Experience providing desk side support, acting as specializing in troubleshooting complex and advanced end-user issues with hardware and software. 

  • Must have a broad base of knowledge and be fluent in multiple IT disciplines such as computing and networking.


Duties: 

  • Responsible for providing desk side support to end users utilizing Apple hardware or MAC operating systems. 

  • Interface with senior government personnel on a daily basis. 

  • Responds and resolves end user issues that require advanced knowledge of Apple or iOS systems. 

  • Updates status of queued service requests with the IT service management system.

  • Escalation point for Junior and Mid level desk side engineers. 

  • Ability to act independently in a customer environment, as well as the ability to engage engineers from multiple teams to troubleshoot issues. 

  • Troubleshoots complex issues that were unable to be remediated by junior and mid level engineers. 

  • Updates status of queued service requests with the IT service management system.
