AECOM is seeking experienced, creative, and highly talented Mechanical Engineers to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services in the Washington, DC area.
Engineers will be accountable to plan and perform high-level engineering analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex solutions that require a thorough knowledge of applied mathematics, scientific, and/or technical skills by absorbing, integrating, and interpreting data through various methodologies. These positions are contingent upon task order award.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Propose approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identify discrepancies in results.
Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Serve as a capable professional within specific domains of the field.
Bachelors Degree and 2+ Years of Relevant experience.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to obtain security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
BA/BS + 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s + 3 years of relevant experience highly preferred.
Aptitude for on-site Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) work; including effective customer engagement, interpersonal communications, writing, and briefing skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.
