The Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Raytheon Six Sigma (R6s) organization within Quality and Mission Assurance (Q&MA) seeks an experienced, results-driven professional to lead key project execution as well as project portfolio management and governance oversight. This role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to facilitate and drive RMS’ Continuous Improvement Project Portfolio to deliver highest business impact.
The successful candidate will work with, mentor and at times directly lead program and functional subject matter experts within cross-functional and/or product line teams to increase Missile Systems’ velocity, efficiency, as well as reduce costs. This will require working proactively with sponsoring stakeholders by applying business and process acumen to translate expressed needs into actionable scope and achievable objectives.
This role has visibility with key decision makers and must have the ability to deliver tactical progress in balance with strategic objectives. This includes collaborating with and contributing to a cross-functional team responsible for strategy deployment integration, gap assessment, facilitation of incremental value delivery, end-to-end process integration and simplification as well as alignment of scope execution across functions and product lines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate project portfolio collection, mapping and analysis; prioritize scope in close collaboration with business, product line and process stakeholders
Lead special projects determined to be critical to Missile Systems performance and strategic objectives
Implement the Accelerated Improvement Methodology leveraging agile and Kaizen-type workshops
Collaborate across functions and the leadership team to methodically prioritize the urgent project pipeline
Support employee development within the RMS talent pipeline
Encourage innovative and entrepreneurial mindset centered on data driven decisions and promote rapid action toward implementing solutions
Develop and propagate best practices; leverage benchmarking and enterprise engagement
Present project status utilizing R6s, business and program management tools and procedures including IPDS, EVMS, IMP/IMS, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EACs, as required
Travel Required: 10-15%
8 Years’ experience in a highly matrixed organization with experience utilizing Sigma, lean process tools, to streamline business and program management tools and procedures
Sigma Expert or Expert in Training, Blackbelt certification or equivalent training and experience
Six Years Supervisory Experience and/or Leading Teams
Familiar with program and project execution methodology, decision and governance structure with proven ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively using solid influencing skills
Sound business results orientation; ability to make data driven decisions with limited information
Requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
R6s Expert or Expert in Training, Blackbelt certification or equivalent training and experience
Knowledge of PMX program health assessments: ERA, PIA, Integrated Program Leadership, RCET
PM Level 4/5 Certification or on path to complete within six months
Cognizant of international requirements: ITAR/EAR, EXIM
Knowledge of financial processes and new business investments
Experience leading projects and portfolio investment decisions applying agile methodology

Master of Engineering in Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 8 years related experience in Business Management, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations
