Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) team at Raytheon. The Program Manager will lead a cross functional team working on Patriot Foreign Military Sales (FMS) production and service contracts. This position encompasses a scope of management that includes production, technical Integration, Patriot engineering services, and training. There will be regular and essential customer interfaces, including the US Army LTPO, SAMD, USASAC, Raytheon International Inc. (RII), and US State Department.

A competitive candidate must have the ability to lead a multi-disciplined, matrixed execution team in order to meet or exceed contract targets which will result in customer satisfaction and further sole-source directed work. Paramount to success in this role is the ability to bring rigorous Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) best practices including a “never miss” approach to execution. As such, the ideal candidate will have broad experience across programs and teams of similar complexity, and be able to bring a strong “hands-on” comprehensive leadership focus to this position. The candidate must also have the ability to shape and influence future requirements to drive business growth within the Bahrain portfolio.

The selected candidate will be accountable for partnering across our different businesses, across IDS, IIS, IAS, and RII as well as agencies external to Raytheon in order to execute and identify potential growth opportunities for follow-on work. Additionally, this leadership position will have responsibility for developing strategies and roadmaps that increase capture probability in order to grow Raytheon’s business in IAMD markets.

This position will be based in Tewksbury, MA with occasional travel both domestically and internationally.

This position is contingent upon contract award and requires an active U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience
  • University Degree
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes under the USG guidelines
  • Proposal leadership experience
  • Program Management Excellence (PMX) certification level 3, or ability to obtain within a year of employment, or industry equivalence
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Business experience in managing contracts, proposals and/or business reviews in the US Government FMS environment
  • Foreign Military Sales program experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • 10+ years of Ground Based Air Defense/Patriot experience in operations, logistics, and maintenance support or equivalence
  • Middle East/GCC experience, and knowledge of the Middle East culture and society
  • Master’s Degree
