Job Summary

This position’s responsibilities include managing the scope, schedule, and budget of various projects, under the direction of a senior-level project manager. Previous experience in the management of infrastructure projects for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is preferable but not a requirement. The candidate will be responsible for GDOT major and minor bridge replacement projects throughout Georgia. Projects are delivered using procedures typical to the Georgia Department of Transportation and local Georgia governments. Demonstration of some level of experience managing scope schedule and budget of infrastructure

projects is required. Knowledge and training with GDOT PDP process and experience managing consultant design firms is highly desired.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages, under the direction of Senior Manager, multiple bridge design project(s) with up to $1m contract value and $50K - $250K annual gross revenue, including planning, directing and supervising all aspects of the project financial results, client satisfaction, safety, and quality

  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget

  • Develops strong client relationships, both internal and external to the project team, and enhances project Performance

  • Organizes project assignments under mentorship and training of supervision of management staff

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience managing or designing civil engineering projects

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transportation projects

  • GDOT Plan Development Process knowledge

  • GDOT project management experience
