Under the minimal supervision prepares design products that may include sketches, calculations, studies, , material equipment lists, equipment procurement specifications, and drawings.
Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
Act as a lead on less complex tasks and responsible for a portion of an electrical design or section of an analysis or design review.
Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
Conduct site walk downs, analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
Experience in design and analysis of electrical distribution systems and industrial power systems, circuit breaker coordination, load flow calculations, short circuit studies.
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related scientific field and at least 10 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in the analysis, and design of electrical systems in nuclear (preferred) or industrial experience:
Excellent communications and analytical skills;
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs;
Position may require travel;
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance;
In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards, including NFPA 70-2017 National Electrical Code, IEEE 242-2001, Recommended Practice for Protection and Coordination of Industrial and Commercial Power Systems., IEEE 1584-2002, IEEE 3002.2-2018, IEEE 3002.3-2018 and IEEE 3002.7-2018;
In-depth knowledge of the process of preparing and checking calculations, as well as, approval, and revision of project calculations;
In-depth knowledge of drawing production and checking, as well as, approval, and revision of engineering drawings;
