Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking interested and qualified candidates for the Integrated Base Defense – Sustainment Support (IBD-SS) program. Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PdM FPS) and PdM Counter Explosive Hazard (CEH) have requirements for comprehensive training, contractor logistics, operator, and sustainment support services, to include material procurement, for equipment and capabilities in the contiguous United States and outside the contiguous United States. These positions are contingent upon successful award of the IBD-SS program.

Description:

Responsible for receiving, validating and processing all transportation movement requests (TMR) and Air Movement Requests (AMR) for the personnel and equipment transiting, originating and terminating assigned MCT Area of Responsibility.Labeling, placarding and marking equipment for shipment.Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management.Works closely with customers to ensure desired movement objectives, priorities and schedules are met and communicated to management. Analyzes work process and develops matrix for measuring performance.Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work schedule, activities, operations, and production. Confers with customer, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.Responsible for overseeing container management and the monthly container management inventory.Prepares documentation to coordinate with supporting SDDC for all container needs and requests.Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures.Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-3 years' experience in Movement Control and Coordination required

  • Container Management experience is preferred

  • Military experience preferred

  • Must be able to make adjustments in procedures and operations to accomplish work effectively and efficiently

  • Must have knowledge of packaging, blocking and bracing and restraint requirements for surface movement of equipment.

  • Must have complete knowledge of transportation documentation, packing list and MSLs, loading of containers, pallets, and flat racks

  • Must have moderate skill in Microsoft applications

  • Must be familiar with Army Information Management Systems for movement to include knowledge and expertise in the Army Transportation System

  • Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics

  • Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field
