AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Civil Engineer for employment in the Franklin, TN office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Computer-aided design support for landfills and solid waste facilities, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, ash pond closures, earthen dams, impoundments and related facilities,

  • Computer-aided design and drafting of site layout, drainage, roadway, grading, and utility systems using tools including, but not limited to AutoCAD Civil3D and WaterCAD

  • Supports report preparation, site reconnaissance, and communications with multi-disciplinary AECOM project team

  • Understanding and applying regulations to develop standards and theories necessary to carry out project design and permitting work

  • Organize and prepare reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and hydrologic data to plan and design projects

  • Incorporates schedules, budgets, constructability, and other project criteria into Civil design and layouts

  • Conduct occasional site reconnaissance to examine field conditions, drainage and erosion control needs, as built conditions, etc.

  • Efficiently employs standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while developing advanced methods to improve efficiency

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field, minimum

  • 0-2 years of Civil Engineering experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational, technical, and communications skills

  • Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule
