Required Qualifications:

a. BA or BS degree in Health, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related


b. Minimum 5 years of experience with strategic communications, planning, and

change management

c. Experience implementing strategic communications plan.

d. Experience with multimedia and graphics design layouts related to strategic

communication products.

e. Experience with using software tools, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Pro and

Adobe InDesign to support program management efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

a. Experience with designing, facilitating, and conducting stakeholder analysis, focus

groups, and interviews.

b. Experience with gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and

developing reports and recommendations.

c. Experience with providing stakeholder relationship management, branding, and

project management.

d. Experience with health campaigns and promotion

e. Experience with developing outreach products and designing and maintaining

tailored communication products and deliverables.

f. Experience with the military or consulting in a DoD environment preferred.


a. NMCPHC Strategic Communications team lead for the public affairs and strategic

communications specialists.

b. Develop, plan and implement communication strategies for NMCPHC and field


c. Determine NMCPHC’s needs and issues within the client's environment and

manages expectations of communications products.

d. Provides guidance for copy, design and development of graphics for brochures,

briefs and other communication communications products.

e. Researches new content to develop for communication products.

f. Confers with senior administrators regarding complex subjects in order to maintain

coherence of communications products.
