ManTech is looking for a motivated, customer-oriented Systems Administrator located in Chantilly, VA in support of a secure Windows based Information System.

The Systems Administrator will support the installation, operation, and maintenance of all current and future Information Systems. Duties and responsibilities involve the administration of Windows servers, Windows workstations, VDI clients, Terminal Servers, File & Print servers, organization folders as well as system documentation, analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies, and ensuring optimal Information System performance.  This position is a part of a centralized team of systems administrators and systems engineers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The candidate should have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Perform Windows system administrative support to include account management, file restoration, installing software, monitoring Service Desk phones, chat and other ticket queues, and assisting users on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, and VDI clients remotely.
  • Administer Active directory accounts, password, smart card pin resets, profiles and permissions per standard operating procedures.
  • Perform technical modifications, group policy, and configuration changes per standard operating procedures on a regular basis.
  • Install/uninstall computer hardware components to include internal and peripheral devices, memory chips, video cards, hard drives, printers, network interface cards, media converters and other peripheral devices.
  • The candidate should at a minimum possess knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2012/2016 Server, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016, Active Directory, and VMWare.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures, knowledge base, and technical documentation.

Position requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 2- 4 years experience in the Information Technology field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 Server
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016, Active Directory, and associated server and workstation hardware.
  • Working knowledge of data backups, and antivirus.
  • Knowledge of Veeam\Symantec data backups and antivirus technology
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010/2016, Microsoft SQL 2008/2014/2016
  • Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with creating and deploying workstation images
  • Security+ CE required (8570M compliant)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification required
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification required
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be open to 10% annual travel and a valid US Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery
  • Must be able to position self to maintain office supplies on variable height shelving.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be able to observe and detect employee deviations from established policy
