Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced
Quality Assurance Analyst/Specialist in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will be required to qualify as a NQA-1 Lead Auditor and perform assessments. Will be responsible for developing checklists, assessment plans, and assessment reports based on upper tier requirements. Successful candidate will be responsible for performing Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering functions including but not limited to Quality Assurance review/approval and disposition of nonconformance reports for the Central Characterization Program. Perform QA review of procedure and procurement documents for compliance with the applicable quality program requirements. Assist in the maintenance and development of the technical, administrative, and programmatic documents related to the implementation of a NQA?1/10CFR830 compliant program. Support Trend Analysis efforts. Assist WIPP personnel with procurement quality requirements. Participate on bid proposal reviews. Assist with management of Qualified Suppliers list. Assist with supplier evaluation and audits. Travel to lead and participate in supplier assessments. Write clear and organized reports and other documents that effectively communicate ideas, problems, solutions, and status of projects.
NWP Exempt Salaried Position Grade 28-33.
Bachelor’s degree in a Science related discipline, or
Associates Degree plus four (4) years of experience, or
High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) of relevant experience.
Must have strong interface skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Familiarity with procurement requirements, knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency Standards is a plus.
Experience with DOE Quality Assurance Programs or commercial nuclear power. Knowledge of Waste Analysis Plan and Transuranic Waste Acceptance Criteria or equivalent program is preferred.
Strong oral and written communications and strong audit/surveillance skills are desired.
Previous WIPP experience is plus.
