DataPath is a global leader in remote satellite-based communications solutions that solve our customersâ?? toughest communications challenges in urgent time frames and under extreme conditions. We specialize in enabling complex communication networks that are critical to the operations of the Department of Defense (DoD), civilian government and commercial markets.

DataPath, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to help build and grow our North American business, with a focus on selling into large defense prime contractors and Government end users. The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and closing business across DataPathâ??s portfolio of satellite and wireless communications products, software and professional services, delivered to market. The position requires an experienced Sales leader with proven business sense, strong understanding of sales, marketing, customer support, strategy, and ethics in the Satellite Communications global market. Must thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere and communicate well in a team environment.

**This Role can be remote, with the expectations that travel is approximately x 50% and the employee must be able to reach a large airport easily.

Essential Functions

â?¢ Develop Sales opportunities to Orders
â?¢ Key spokesperson to external customers
â?¢ Foster key relationship between internal team and execution to ensure customer satisfaction
â?¢ Provide input on IR&D initiatives to position company for future and changing markets
â?¢ Work with internal organization to develop Price to Win targets and product pricing
â?¢ Understand DOD procurement environment
â?¢ Work across multi-functional team to ensure accurate and up to date Sales forecasts
â?¢ Identify business growth opportunities through strong customer relationships
â?¢ Increase sales with existing enterprise customers, growing pipeline and sales performance to established
â?¢ Manage the sales cycle from end-to-end, including prospect identification and qualification, pipeline
management, accurate sales forecasting, proposal generation and contract closure.


Education and Experience:

â?¢ Bachelorâ??s degree in technical or business field preferred.
â?¢ 10+ yearsâ?? successful sales experience preferably in the SATCOM industry.
â?¢ Proven track record of capturing major DOD programs and working with large prime contractors.
â?¢ Self-starter, able to work independently and generate results.
â?¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
â?¢ Track record of achieving sales quotas.
â?¢ Demonstrated ability to successfully engage with a wide variety of functional areas within large
organizations, including senior and C-level personnel.
â?¢ Proven track record of success in selling complex solutions.
â?¢ Ability to give professional sales presentations to prospective clients.
â?¢ Ability to travel as required to accomplish companyâ??s sales objectives.
â?¢ Must have an active passport and be able to travel internationally if needed.
â?¢ Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to get a US Security Clearance if needed.


â?¢ Strong prospecting, negotiation and contract closing skills.
â?¢ Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
â?¢ Ability to contribute in strategy setting sessions and budget decisions
â?¢ Responsible for both revenue and contribution margin targets.
