The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering innovative cost effective solutions to civil infrastructure issues relating to development projects. You will be proficient in using and analysing data from the various software packages, AutoCAD, Microdrainage and to produce high quality reports including Infrastructure reports, site feasibility reports and flood risk assessments. You will be a good communicator and able to work closely with private and public sector clients as well as multi-disciplinary teams. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team.
Based in Dun Laoghaire the Dublin office has an established track record of successfully delivering civil infrastructure schemes and has multi-disciplinary capability offer enabling staff to get involved in a wide range of exciting projects. The team provides transport planning and civil engineering support to private sector clients from concept through to implementation.
Our wide range of clients includes developers, retailers, land owners, house builders, blue chip companies and Universities. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local and national development residential and commercial projects. This provides our staff with a variety of exciting projects to deliver.

Strategic land use appraisals and strategic masterplanning advice for developers on key strategic development schemes.
Major City Centre regeneration projects;
Numerous residential schemes at Detailed Design stage progressing towards Construction
The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:
Work from a detailed project brief and deliver high quality work whilst monitoring progress.
Deliver civil engineering support and advise on a wide range of projects;
Support the development of preliminary designs of new drainage, watermain and access for residential and commercial schemes;
Identify data and information required for projects;
Assist the Project Manager in delivering project work within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations.
Assist the Project Manager in monitoring financial status and progress of projects to ensure delivery on time, to budget and to Client’s satisfaction.
Determine computer modelling requirements and ensure effective output from technician staff.
Establishing strong working relationships with other internal teams within AECOM
Ability to deliver civil engineering solutions, coordinate technicians and successfully manage projects.
A good all-round knowledge of all aspects of civil infrastructure requirements for developments from site appraisal through to detailed design and construction.
Sound technical experience, including experience of working with relevant software e.g. AutoCAD 2D and Civil 3D, Microdrainage, and AutoTrack. Hec-Ras is preferable but not essential.
Experience of applying relevant design guidelines such as the GDSDS, Irish Water Code of Practice in developing civil infrastructure designs.
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary design team, and have excellent communication skills with architects, clients, planning consultants and local authorities.
Understanding of and experience of working in the Planning Regulatory framework, and knowledge of planning regulations and requirements as applied to development.
A solid track record of having worked on a variety of Development Engineering projects;
Experience in producing high quality written communication (emails, letters, technical reporting and calculations) with proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages.
A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a member of a relevant professional body, with a commitment to attaining Chartership status.
Committed to Safety in Design principles.
Clean Full driving license.
A good understanding of the principles of Development Engineering
Experience in using one or more relevant modelling packages e.g. Microdrainage, Civil 3D etc
The ability to manage small tasks on multiple projects.
The ability to communicate technical concepts and provide a level of supervision to more junior staff
