AECOM has an exciting new opportunity for a strategic thinking, pro-active Employee Relations and Compliance Specialist in the Americas (US, Canada, Latin America) in support of the Employee Relations and Compliance Center of Excellence. Under the supervision of the Sr. Director, Employee Relations and Compliance, the successful candidate will be focused on a number of compliance and employee relations issues in partnership with the HR Business Leaders, HR Field Operations, Talent Acquisition and Legal. This position is part of a virtual team and can be located in various locations across the United States.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide consultation on employee relations issues including performance management, reductions in force, workplace accommodations, hiring restrictions etc.
Conduct workplace investigations of employee complaints including developing an investigation plan, conduct interviews, draft investigation summaries, track complaint and resolution, and report on complaint/investigation trends to HR leadership and provide guidance as to best management coaching practices
Responsible for supporting OFCCP compliance including analysis of AAP data, OFCCP audits, conduct and track outreach efforts, and participate and conduct training for TA, HR, and management
Responsible for supporting various compliance related requirements and requests such as certificates of compliance
Provide training for management, HR, and TA on various employee relations issues such as performance management, reasonable accommodations, anti-harassment, etc.
Partner with the Labor & Employment Legal team on escalated employee relations issues, agency charges, and government audits and investigations
Bachelor Degree and 6+ years of related experience or Associates Degree and 8+ years of related experience or HS/GED + 10 years of related experience
Familiarity with OFCCP compliance
Experience in conducting investigations from commencement through to conclusion.
Ability to issue spot and analyze results of investigations and complaints to determine trends and make recommendations to HR leadership in terms of coaching/training need for HR and management teams to mitigate risk
Effectively handle multiple cases within tight deadlines
Proficiency in employment laws
Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate effectively in writing and during presentations, build relationships at all levels.
High energy, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must possess the highest ethical standards.
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
An advanced degree and HR certification (i.e., MHRM, MILR, MBA with HR concentration and SPHR/SHRM-SCP
Experience with OFCCP compliance and audit support
