SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Warehouse Associate for Canal Fulton, Ohio is responsible for the general upkeep of the warehouse and for loading and unloading trucks, ordering product, maintaining inventory, loading and maintaining route sales bins, and picking up and delivering product on occasion for the Snyder of Berlin route sales force.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads and loads trucks
Orders product
Maintains inventory, communicating short coded and damaged product immediately to the Zone Sales Leaders and Warehouse Management
Loads and maintains route sales bins
Picks up and delivers product on occasion
Follows receiving procedures to ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse
Accurately records used cartons.
Maintains cleanliness of warehouse and grounds (for example, weed control, parking lot, sidewalk, etc.)
Maintains responsibility for all mailings and packages
Electronically records cash sales, donations, damages, food bank and samples.
Adheres to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.
Performs other duties as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of Warehouse experience, including operating a forklift and knowledge of a thorough understanding of warehouse procedures.
Ability to obtain certification for forklift operation. Ability to lift and balance seven high stacked product with a forklift and lift boards.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
Ability to direct workflow with an infectiously positive attitude.
Ability to maintain positive awareness of quality assurance and safety.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to place orders and maintain inventory
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and obtain and sustain a DOT certificate
Must have basic math skills
Must be capable of loading and unloading trucks on a daily basis, lifting, pushing, and pulling light to moderate weight cases and bags of product.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

TRAVEL:
-To support sales team: deliver product to outside bins, customers, etc.
-Occasional travel to other divisions, if needed.
