AECOM is seeking a spectrum manager looking to apply Radio Frequency (RF) management principals to support analysis and process support for legacy and emerging spectrum dependent technologies.
The work requires spectrum management subject matter expertise to review, evaluate, analyze, and convert DD1494/SCS forms to EL-CID files to support the capture of critical legacy data into current data formats.
Knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation characteristics aids in the review and coordination at the National or International level, as required.
The spectrum manager will work with junior Spectrum Managers to conduct basic analysis/studies of Department of the Navy equipment to ensure accurate capture of technical information and conversion into a form that will be supported through the frequency assignment process.
Graduate of the Inter-service Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or The Army Spectrum Management Course, with 7+ years of experience working within Spectrum Management. Or an Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience in spectrum management. Requires Secret clearance. Must be US Citizen.
Knowledge of the either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process
Knowledge of any of the following software: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone
Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards
World Radio Conference Support
Development of Spectrum related standards and policies
