The Manufacturing Engineering (MfgE) Department of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems provides premier engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. Manufacturing Engineering’s engagement with Raytheon products is not just limited to Raytheon manufacturing sites. The Circuit Card Assembly department is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide Engineering support for automated Surface Mount Technology lines. In this role, you will apply your skills in maintaining and improving upon current processes, while having the opportunity to develop new processes and technologies based on innovation. The day-to-day responsibilities would include resolution to real-time production issues, initiate and contribute to process improvement and affordability initiatives, execute cycle time reduction projects, and develop manufacturing process documentation in support of production fabrication.
This position can be Salary Grade G06 (Manufacturing Engineer I) or G07 (Manufacturing Engineer II) based on the applicant's qualifications as they relate to the skills, leadership, experience, and responsibility requirements of the position.
This is a third shift position which includes a 12% added pay differential
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Interface between Represented workforce, Operations and Integrated Supply Chain to sustain production
Provide and maintain various process controls along the automated SMT lines
Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques
Disposition discrepant hardware
Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Developing tooling concepts
Interfacing with customers and suppliers
Providing technical leadership to multi- disciplined teams
Conducting safety/ergonomic assessments
This position will require interaction with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers with some travel required.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
2 years experience working in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
Through hole and Surface Mount Technology knowledge at a technical level
Knowledgeandabilitytoapplysixsigmaprinciples and techniques
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to interface with represented workforce, product value stream engineering, operations personnel, vendors, maintenance techs, etc.

Demonstratedhands-onmechanicalaptitudewiththeability to workacrossdisciplines
Ability to multi-task
Ability to obtain a clearance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following: Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
