The Senior Engineering Logistics Specialist II will be responsible for the completion of assigned tasks to include multiple functions within the product support disciplines. Representative duties would involve the following:
Integrating Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Testability, System Safety and Logistics into product designs and generation of allocated requirements
Assisting in translation of customer requirements into executable engineering tasks that meet contractual obligations within cost and schedule boundaries
Assist in establishing maintenance concepts and support system frameworks and plans for life cycle sustainment
Participate in development of maintenance engineering and logistics support products;
Contribute to proposal efforts
Participate in internal and external customer reviews
Regular interface with Program Management, Functional Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Engineering
Abilities specific to this assignment include:
Ability to work alone or within a diverse team
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple customers (internal and external) with differing requirements and expectations
Strong MS Excel development skills (macros, pivot tables, v lookups from external data files, etc…)
Confidence to make mistakes while learning and to accept constructive criticism to apply to future opportunities
Work ethic with an understanding of priorities and completing tasks on time and on budget
6 years of experience in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management or related technical field
Knowledge of product support and logistics capabilities and strategies and the ability to conceptualize new approaches
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with external customer(s)
Excellent verbal communication, presentation and writing skills
Experience in preparation of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) artifacts in compliance with business processes (IPDS & EVMS)
Familiarity with Export/Import (EXIM) and experience with compliance
Familiarity with Reliability predictions and the concept of Failure Root Cause and Corrective Action (FRACA)
Understanding of reliability, availability, and maintainability data collection and analysis
Understanding of the development flow from early foundational logistics, through support resource definition, support documentation development, fielding assessments and in-service support
Ability to travel (10-15% domestic and international)
Familiarity with writing Basis of Estimate (BOEs), BOE Certification
Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Demonstrated consistency, accountability and flexibility managing multiple and competing priorities
Strong analytic, technical and problem solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, test procedures and production planning documentation.
Ability to take direction and work through assigned tasks while learning concurrently.
Ability to systematically assess a system maintenance process to identify required support resources.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
