The GPS OCX Mission Operations Support (MOS) IPT is seeking a Deputy Lead. With the Lead, this role is responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplined team to execute ongoing sustainment activities for the Block 0 Launch and Checkout System (LCS), as well as overseeing the execution of the Block 1 operational Transition readiness activities assigned to the MOS IPT. Provides technical and tasking direction to the entire team. Must have the ability to develop and communicate both broad strategic and specific tactical direction to the team. Must have the ability to effectively develop and deliver technical, schedule, and cost presentations to upper management and the customer. Occasional travel required. Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Work with IPT Operations Manager and IPT Lead to developer IPT priorities and schedules, and then apply team resources to meet those priorities and schedules
  • Coordinate requisite support from other program teams and customer/user teams
  • Report weekly status for tasks being executed by the team
  • Prepare technical reports at the request of the IPT CE
  • Support studies and proposals at the request of IPT leadership
  • Represent the IPT at various program and customer enterprise forums
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current /active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.


This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to $40K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.

Required Skills:
  • Current Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • 10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record
  • Experience with satellite command and control, and mission management
  • Experience with IPT and/or program management
  • Experience with technical task planning and execution
  • Raytheon Earned Value certification
  • Experience with developing and delivering technical presentations to broad audiences

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with mission operational support and execution
  • Experience with sustaining enterprise-level systems at multiple operational sites
  • Experience in technical risk management
  • Experience with obsolescence management


Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
