Job Summary
Provides senior level System Engineering support for the Navy’s Combined Tactical Training Ranges.
Performs engineering and project management, to include requirements definition, system design and development, cost analysis and estimation, procurement, and system buildup and testing right through systems installation, integration and documentation.
Supports mission critical range communications to include engineering analysis of network and communications equipment as necessary to meet present and future training requirements.
System Engineer plans, proposes, designs and implements system modifications, modernizations, upgrades and improvements on all systems and communications equipment for range development, reconfiguration and new facility buildups.
Prepares, develops, and submits technical papers and performs engineering studies.
Develops and applies advanced methods, and analytical techniques in research, investigation and solution of complex problems.
Works closely with Configuration Manager and Drafters to create and maintain configuration documentation using MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and/or AutoCAD. Supports the Configuration Management (CM) program to include the evaluation of modifications to systems, the generation of Engineering Change Requests to improve interoperability, reliability, and maintainability.
Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors of Science degree, or higher, in a related engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
Five years’ experience in systems engineering, project management, system design, analysis, development, integration, testing, configuration management.
Team player with strong customer-oriented attitude, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Possess & maintain a state issued driver's license
Possess & maintain an active Secret DoD security clearance
Certifications :
Security Operating System Cert
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in a related engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
Specific knowledge or experience with the following:
Nation Instruments LabVIEW Software and Systems Development
Communications (analog, digital, and voice)
Network Communications
Signal and Data Processing
Tracking and Telemetry Systems
Data Acquisition and Remote Control Interface Development
Computer and Display Systems Development
