Our NASA Ames Team is seeking a Document Control Coordinator in Mountain View, CA to assist in our Engineering Document Control Center, collecting, managing and producing record drawings and project documentation for the Ames facilities engineering group.
Maintain document control system to ensure that processes comply with internal procedures, Client’s standards, and regulatory requirements;
Manage the processing, issuing, reproduction, and filing of engineering documents, such as drawings, reports, manuals, etc.;
Manage receipt, filing, distribution and archiving of all project documents;
Assist in creating and implementation of a reporting system to track all RFIs, NCRs, submittals, change logs, and other project documentation;
Ensure quality control procedures are maintained, participate in internal audits as required;
Provide adequate training and support to project members to enable successful use of document control and systems procedures;
Support project team in general administrative functions, including organizing presentation materials, meeting minutes, various reports;
Perform other project document control and administrative tasks as assigned by the Project Controls Manager
Works under limited supervision.
May take on several components of a project.
Provides direction for team members.
Plans and manages implementation and integration of new technologies.
Troubleshoots problems of medium complexity and recommends appropriate action.
Project size could range from low to medium complexity.
Provides document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval and distribution of both classified and unclassified electronic, paper and other media project data and documents according to company policy, and proper procedures for the projects.
Manages the set up and maintenance of document control / records management for multiple projects and Project Managers
Ensures that all local practices and activities comply with company policies and procedures.
High School Diploma
2+ years of relevant experience
