AECOM is seeking an I&C Engineer II or III to be based at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, Texas.
Candidate will be working as part of a team of Engineers and Designers at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant on Instrumentation and Control modification packages. Work will include engineering of revisions to existing plant digital systems, level, pressure, flow and temperature instruments, and cyber security evaluations. Candidate must complete complex engineering assignments including preparation of specifications, logic diagrams, system functional descriptions, and work packages including , instrument data sheets, calculations, and modifications to existing plant drawings; provide support to proposals, prepare purchase requisitions; review vendor drawings and develop cost and budget estimates and schedules and scope of work documents. Candidate will lead or participate in stakeholder meetings and perform plant walkdowns with the support of senior engineers to ensure the client is satisfied with our work product.
I&C Engineer II
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with course work in control systems and programming and 2 years of relevant experience in engineering /design of control systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
I&C Engineer III
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with course work in control systems and programming and 4 years of relevant experience in engineering /design of control systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
Must have good oral communication and technical writing skills and experience working in a multi-discipline team environment
Training and experience using CAD software to revise and/or develop technical drawings. Software tools shall be AutoCAD, Microstation or equivalent.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel to prepare written reports and spreadsheets
Must be able to obtain unescorted access into a nuclear power plant.
Due to the nature of this work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Field experience at an operating nuclear power plant
Experience with application of multi-function digital protection relays
Experience performing electrical system calculations such as load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, and protective relay settings.
Experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, one-lines, three-lines, etc.
Familiar with NEI 08-09 and experience with performing cyber security assessments
