ManTech is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to directly support the Mission Solutions and Services Group in the Tampa Area by developing strategy and driving business growth within and throughout USSOCOM and the MacDill area.  This person will provide insight to the most senior managers across ManTech on strategic vision and forward thinking approaches that continually position programs aligned with the department’s goals and objectives.    This position will be from home with the intent of establishing a permanent presence in the Tampa/MacDill area.

The Development and Operations Director will:

  • Be a seasoned professional with direct experience at USSOCOM as well as a clear understanding of Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations and authorities.
  • Be responsible for customer relationship management and opportunity tracking as well as a variety of contract types programs that may range from $10 Million to $900 Million.
  • Lead the development, testing and integration of technical programs at the enterprise level.
  • Be an organized, aggressive, and highly skilled professional with proven success in both Program Management and business development.
  • Recommend and support implementation and execution of new SOF capabilities in response to emerging national security initiatives; identify and recommend programmatic improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development and review of proposals (e.g., customer pain points, issues, challenges)
  • Support responses to RFIs and Sources Sought notifications.


  • Masters in management or technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of SOF experience, fifteen (15) years related experience
  • Active TS/SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acquisition and Program Management experience preferred.
  • Experience in Network and Information Management.
