ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Personnel Security Specialist to join our team in the Herndon, VA area to work as a member of the ManTech Personnel Security Center (PSC).

Applicant will be a member of the ManTech team in the ManTech Personnel Security Center (PSC), responsible for security processing and maintaining individuals requiring Department of Defense (DOD) clearances. Applicant requires knowledge of Security Administration and Personnel Security processes for individuals requiring Department of Defense (DOD) clearances.Knowledgeable in all areas of Personnel Security to include review of SF86s, JPAS and eQIP processing. Will be a part of the team to develop and implement processes and tools for centrally managing the company’s DoD personnel security program. Duties will include, but not limited to, developing, testing and implementing personnel security processes, maintaining and updating personnel security folders and databases, review and submit security forms for processing, complete and transmit visit requests, support company prescreening activities, initiate,process, review, track and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate company and government personnel to achieve clearance. Applicant will be required to update and maintain the overall clearance/access database JPAS, and ManTech’s Personnel security database.Ensure files are maintained and complainant with customer requirements. Scan material and personnel records into digital form and organize them into a computer database.


Position Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of security-related experience. 
  • Knowledge of principles, theories and concepts related to personnel security
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail required
  • Must be capable of working as a team member, be a self-starter, be able to understand and complete tasks, and have excellent customer service attitude and skills
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of Personnel Security to include extensive review of SF-86s, JPAS and e-QIP processing

  • An active Secret clearance is required.
