Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for a highly qualified

Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Electronic Warfare Analyst to provide research, planning and analysis support to U.S. INDO-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) in the areas of Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Electronic Warfare (EW) at

Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

This is a contingent position.

AECOM is looking for a candidate to provide timely research and analysis of current INDOPACOM area UAS and EW threats in order to identify high-value gaps and develop innovative solutions to counter these threats. The candidate for this position must have unique insights to both intelligence and operations in order to integrate analysis and solution sets. This analysis will be applied to support, streamline, and enable the Commander to protect forces and capabilities against known and emerging threats from UAS and EW.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption.

  2. Provide assistance on short timeline responses to specific questions pertaining to USINDOPACOM theater threats.

  3. Research and analyze various pertinent national security policies, military capabilities, and vulnerability assessments.

  4. Provide qualitative data to support recommendations.

  5. Support holistic (kinetic and non-kinetic) force protection operations planning and coordination to identify and coordinate the process for integrating C-UAS ad EW activities into the USINDOPACOM force protection policies and rules of engagement.

  6. Provide analysis and technical expertise to assist force protection operations plans to identify and make recommendations regarding the mitigation of gaps in accordance with operational performance metrics and gap analysis.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree.

  • At least 7 years of experience supporting the DoD.

  • At least 3 years of experience in UAS and/or electromagnetic spectrum operations as well as familiarity with air/space/cyber operations at the tactical or operational level.

  • Experience in modeling and simulation, exercise scenario development, war gaming, or red team.

  • COCOM (combatant command)/Component staff experience.

  • Knowledge of Joint Campaign, Contingency, and Crisis Action Planning procedures.

  • Familiar with strategic and campaign plan documents from National Command Authority through Combatant Command and Joint Task Force level. Well versed in joint doctrine.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials. Must have experience providing regularly scheduled project plans and status reports.

  • Must have demonstrated skill in using integrated software (e.g., MS Office suite and Sharepoint).

  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • At least three (3) years’ experience working in USINDOPACOM specific topics.

  • Graduate of Service or Joint Planner Course.

  • Graduate of an advanced integrated air defense or equivalent service school.

  • 3+ years of experience presenting plans and findings to Flag Officer leadership.

  • 3+ years of experience in joint organizations, including USINDOPACOM and components.
