Canada - Alberta, Fort Mackay
AECOM is seeking a Crane Operator to join our team at Imperial Oil's Kearl project located near Fort Mackay, Alberta. This is a full-time position on a 14/14 shift rotation.
Crane Operators service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as traveling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.
Operators manipulate a number of pedals and levers to rotate the crane, and raise and lower its boom and one or more loadlines
May drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation)
Set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.

Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check, which may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. To be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Must have a journeyman ticket
Must have journeyman level experience
Must be a certified crane operator (65 ton grove)
Must have forklift license and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for bus.
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) certification
First Aid – Standard Level C
H2S Alive Certification (If applicable).
Other certificates may be required.
Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities.
Good communication and reading skills.
