AECOM’s Environment Business Line is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team of professionals in our Markham office. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative multinational team focused on delivery of superior services to our clients. This is a challenging position for a self-motivated individual that offers an excellent opportunity for career growth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical expertise in support of on-going AECOM geotechnical projects
Work with other geotechnical staff to provide services for current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities
Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies
Conduct technical review and undertake comprehensive analysis and design for geotechnical components related to municipal, MTO, Metrolinx and CN projects, utilities, building structures, energy projects, roads and other civil infrastructure projects
Work with the team on projects in the GTA, and collaborate on projects across Ontario.
At a very minimum, Bachelors degree in Geotechnical engineering and 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience will be required to be considered, though we prefer 10 + years for this position.
Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively
Willingness to work flexible hours under a variety of conditions
Post graduate degree in Engineering or Environmental Science
Class G driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle, mileage to be reimbursed
