Job Summary

Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modification of piping systems to include water distribution and sanitary sewer systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, waste and drainage systems.

  • Must be able to do material takeoffs on blue prints.

  • Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, appurtenances, control valves and hydrants.

  • Test and inspects piping systems for leaks and performs recurring maintenance as required. Install, inspect, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies liquid fuel storage, distribution, and dispensing systems.

  • Must be able to climb and work off of ladders, elevated platforms, and wear fall arrest gear.

  • Must have normal color vision, freedom from fear of heights and confined spaces.

  • May be required to wear a respirator.

  • Must stay proficient in CPR.

  • Must comply with all Safety practices and Environmental regulations.

  • Must be able to research, specify, and order materials.

  • Must have proficient computer skills to include MS Office products and use computer based time keeping programs.

Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • OSHA-10 card, Construction Industry

  • CPR/First-Aid card

  • Rigger certification

  • UA 21 (Carbon Steel) certification

  • Backflow Certification

  • No rehires, unless approved by local HR/LR and CE Manager.

Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance and access to the work location. Must be a United States citizen. Must pass pre-hire drug screening and Fit-for-Duty physical. Must be able to work in a remote location with limited medical personnel and facilities. Will need to bring: Social Security Card, original state issued birth certificate or Naturalization Certificate and valid driver's license and certifications listed in Additional Mandatory Requirements.
