Contract Closeout Specialist - Military veterans preferred

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Closeout Specialist to support our office located in Germantown, MD. You will be responsible for project cost accounting and closeout activities on a portfolio of diverse contracts. These activities include but not limited to Preparing Final Vouchers, reconciling vouchers to Schedule I, unbilled receivable analysis and customer billing.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Read and interpret the basic contract document as it relates to billing, identify and confirm closeout requirements with contract administrators and collaborate with financial analysts to reconcile and verify final billings

  2. Prepare Cost Plus, T&M and Fixed Price billings for submission to customers.

  3. Prepare Final Voucher Packages (Schedule of Vouchers, Releases, Final Fee schedules, and various related forms based on specific FAR clauses)

  4. Reconcile vouchers to/from legacy systems and ICS Schedule I.

  5. Assist with Final unbilled reconciliations.

  6. Assist with collection efforts and continued efforts on decreasing receivables.

  7. Assist with DCAA/DCMA/ACO information requests.

  8. Assist with Contract Close-out process.

  9. Ad hoc reporting as necessary.

  10. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and have at least 6 years of job-related experience in Government Contracting; or equivalent experience to supplement for education

  • Must have excellent writing, spreadsheet and word-processing skills

  • Must have Deltek Costpoint experience

  • Must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and able to multitask

  • Willingness to work in a fast paced environment

  • Must be US Citizen
