This position is for the Strategic and Naval Systems (SNS) product line staff executive, based out of Huntsville, Alabama, reporting directly to the SNS Vice President. In this role, the SNS staff executive will be providing full support to the SNS Vice President while working closely with the product line portfolio, program and functional directors, and the Huntsville site director. Due to the breadth of responsibility, this position provides tremendous exposure to the SNS leadership team’s day-to-day operations and has involvement with crafting the strategic direction for the product line, while being provided with the opportunity to demonstrate a high level of creativity, innovation, and initiative. This position is intended to be a short-term assignment (~18-24 months) and serves as a development opportunity for a future program manager.
This role is a highly visible position within the SNS product line and the RMS Business unit, requiring attention to detail while responding quickly to urgent business needs, sometimes under stressful situations. Primary responsibilities within the product line include, but are not limited to; Managing product line assignments as directed by the VP, assisting with day-to-day tasks and special projects, as well as responsibility for collecting and synthesizing data, and coordination of action items, to support the SNS Leadership Team, and managing business operations. The role also requires working knowledge of SNS portfolios, products and capabilities and demonstrated success formulating impactful internal and external military and foreign customer briefs and presenting complex information to/for executive level audiences, ability to interface across entire organization at all levels confidently and with authority, demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse groups of people to accomplish complex operations within RMS and the Product line, works under consultative direction toward long-range business goals and objectives. In addition, this position will be highly involved with the strategic elements of program management. In addition, the SNS staff executive will provide support to Huntsville strategic growth activities, working closely with the Huntsville site director and leadership team.
