Provide Support to government customers.
Including but not limited to:
Develop and/or verify software system specifications and requirements documentation. Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. Provide informal training in implementing software programs based on user requirements. Develop, write, and submit technical reports for technical presentations and meetings. May provide support in the development of the technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
Knowledge of day to day administration of the 7-Mode operating system.
Knowledge of day to day administration of cDOT operating system.
Experience building and configuring a cDOT filer from the ground up or the ability to work with NetApp support in doing so.
Experience in working with CIFs and NFS protocols.
Administration of Storage Virtual Machines (SVM's).
Ability to work with and troubleshoot network issues with the Network Administrators (Logical Interfaces, physical and logical ports, port aggregations, configuring LACP, configuring VLANs)
Knowledge of how to integrate the filer with LDAP, Active Directory and NIS
BS/BA in Math, Science, Engineering, or Physics and 10+ years of experience.
The ability to create volumes and allocate the proper amount of space.
Continuous monitoring of resources.
Configure, apply and monitor volume Snapshot policies.
Configure, apply and monitor volume SnapMirror policies.
Configure, apply and monitor volume SnapVault policies.
Configure, apply and monitor volume SnapMirror SVM DR (disaster recovery) policies.
Configure and apply export polices to mount points.
Configure and apply volume deduplication.
Experience implementing volume encryption.
Experience sanitizing data spillages from CIFs shares/NFS mounts, snapshots, SnapMirrors and SnapVault volumes.
Submit incident tickets to NetApp for any hardware or software issues that cannot be resolved locally.
