Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced
Construction and Projects Procurement Manager in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the award and subcontract administration of assigned construction, major equipment, systems and/or services required in support of NWP missions and goals in a timely cost-effective manner and in compliance with prime contract, applicable government regulations, good business practices, and management of property system.
In order to satisfy subcontract requirements consistent with NWP policy and procedure, Federal Acquisitions, and the DOE regulations on the immediate-need type procurements and change notices, candidate will need to be capable of expedient decisions, weighing all risk factors against site requirements and schedule needs, seeking necessary approvals and/or compromises to ensure satisfactory performance, developing alternatives to overcome obstacles and problems, creative thinking and approaches in contractual matters to ensure compliance with all requirements, proper analysis and documentation.
NWP Exempt Salary Grade 36.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Industrial Management, supplemented by formal training in contract law, negotiations, cost/price analysis and engineering practices.
Ten (10) years of experience, preferably in government procurement, administering multiple type subcontracts and construction subcontracts.
Extensive knowledge of procurement, negotiations, and expediting with a practical knowledge of business law, accounting, economics, and engineering practices.
Detailed knowledge of company policies, Federal Procurement Regulations, and practical skills in oral and written communications.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Master's Degree preferred.
Prior WIPP experience is a plus.
