AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to support the busy Central England ecology team in the delivery of major infrastructure projects. We are very focussed on quality and continual process improvement and so we are looking for an individual to implement streamlined processes and technological change, initially within specific projects and later across the whole regional business. In brief, we are looking to review, and refine our data management processes using new database technologies.

You will be given the platform to provide additional project management support from a non- technical background as well as limited technical support to build a firm and broader understanding of ecology which will enable their development as an ecology project manager
The ideal person will be highly motivated, pro-active, focused and organized, with an eye for detail and good communication skills. They may also, ideally, have a keen interest in wildlife and conservation and be keen to understand the ecological work being managed. This will create added value through a deeper understanding of the wider Ecology business.
Work with our regional ecology technical leads to support delivery of projects and maintenance of the highest standards of quality in everything we do.
Build and manage relationships with trusted suppliers in the ecological arena to support the resourcing of field activities on projects;
Work with others in the regional team to deploy the newly designed Survey Management Platform across regional and national projects.
Contribute to all aspects of ecological project management such as: bidding, commercial budgeting, planning, resourcing, scheduling and programming.
Review and approve client deliverables.
Quality management across all aspect of project delivery
Contribute to the continued improvement of Health & Safety systems and protocols employed by the team
Propose and evaluate technical innovation with colleagues.
Specific Skills Required :
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, database:
Self-starter, pro-active and motivated
Detail oriented and results-driven. Committed to delivering complex tasks on time and on budget. Experienced in pre-empting potential programme risks, identifying relevant mitigation measures and implementing these in a timely manner;
Ability to remain focussed and productive through sustained periods of high pressure and workload;
Good communication and facilitation skills
