Job Summary

  • Administers IE's employee benefits programs, including health and welfare, income protection, retirement and related programs.

  • Manages the day-to-day benefit operations and assignments.

  • Evaluates operational processes to make recommendations in order to implement the best practices.

  • Works with the Sr Manager of Employee Benefits and benefit vendors to ensure quality services are being provided to employees.

  • Ensures benefits are provided as outlined in the SPD and other service agreements.

  • Resolves benefit issues, including enrollment and eligibility appeals.

  • Supervises benefits staff to ensure that benefits program administration activities are done accurately and on a timely basis:

  • Coordinates and administers group life, health, accident, disability and salary reduction (section 125) plans, etc.

  • Acts as liaison between the Company and various insurance vendors.

  • Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations within the Benefits group.

  • Receives general administrative direction and judgment guidance from the Sr Manager of Employee Benefits.

  • Guides and trains other HR staff as a management expert in benefits area.

  • Mentors HR staff and professional managers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 15 years of related experience

  • PHR or SPHR preferred

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States Work Authorization.
