Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for a

Senior Avionics Display System Engineer to join our team at Tinker Air Force Base in

Oklahoma City, OK supporting the Air Force B-2 Division (AFLCMC/WWZ) Directorate.

The Avionics Display Engineer will focus on tactical data link systems, position location, display systems, digital interphone systems, and identification capabilities for application to military operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Supports Aircraft Information Management Systems requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements, testing, and certification.

  2. Applies knowledge of Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.

  3. Communicates with other engineering functionals such as Structures, Crew Systems, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Reliability and Maintainability, Manufacturing, and System Safety.

  4. Performs development and integration of platform software requirements to include mission planning.

  5. Supports information management assessment and authorization to include development of security controls, test approaches, and risk identification and mitigation to obtain an Interim Authority to Operate or Authority to Operate.

  6. Assists in the interoperability certification process to include coordinating with Air Force Command and Control Integration Center for program clearance into Air Force System Operability Test and Joint Interoperability Test Command testing.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science.

  • At least 10 years systems engineering experience.

  • Knowledge in avionics, computer, radar, electronic warfare, software and communications engineering principles.

  • Excellent communication, inter personal, organizational and analytical skills are necessary.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other standard integrated software applications.

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to qualify for Special Access Programs.

  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in providing similar sustainment support for USAF weapons systems.
