Job Summary

JW Williams, an AECOM Company, is seeking a highly talented, creative, Business Development Representative to lead the business development efforts for proposals and sales primarily in support of the North Dakota Oil & Gas Region. This position will be based in Casper, WY.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Develops and coordinates new business opportunities in the marketplace through continuous professional contact with existing and/or new clientele and determines and/or assists in determining client long-range need for services and/or capital expenditures.

  • Solicits qualified bid/proposal opportunities and evaluates client needs for bids and proposals and sells appropriate services.

  • Seeks new markets for business development.

  • Assists in the development of the group, subsidiary and/or company sales program.

  • Coordinates the development of the proposal with planning, estimating and other appropriate departments.

  • May assist in proposal presentations and proposal strategy.

  • Maintains records of target area business development and project data to aid in coordination of all marketing and operation plans.

  • Provide weekly look-ahead and follow-up reports on business development and sales efforts.

  • Participate in required weekly team meetings such as Quote meetings, Gate meetings and Proposal review meetings.

  • Possesses extensive knowledge of the company’s philosophy and policies.

  • Specializes in business development and sales in the North Dakota region, with additional support in Rocky Mountain Region.

  • Possesses advanced job knowledge and is fully competent in all aspects of the job.

  • Performs more advanced assignments requiring independent decisions.

  • Resolves problems using sophisticated techniques and an exceptional degree of ingenuity.

  • Under general direction, completed work is reviewed for desired results. Actively participates and supports safety programs and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree + 6 years of relevant experience leading the business development and proposal efforts in the North Dakota and Rocky Mountain Basin Regions in support of oil & gas industry business opportunities, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

OR

  • Associate Degree + 8 years of relevant experience leading the business development and proposal efforts in the North Dakota and Rocky Mountain Basin Regions in support of oil & gas industry business opportunities, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

OR

  • High School Diploma / GED + 10 years of relevant experience leading the business development and proposal efforts in the North Dakota and Rocky Mountain Basin Regions in support of oil & gas industry business opportunities, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

AND

  • Previous experience supporting business development, sales strategies and proposal efforts in support of sales for new and the expansion of existing production equipment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge in upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

  • Previous AECOM or AECOM Legacy Company experience.
