Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Senior Manager for the eastern region to oversee the logistic operations at the Largo, FL., Aberdeen, MD., and the Fort Wayne, ID. sites. This position reports to the SAS Director of Logistics and will be responsible for leading a team of site logistics managers in all aspects of the material receipt, warehousing, factory kitting support, replacement parts, overhaul and repair support, packaging, and shipment functions within SAS in the eastern region. The selected candidate will work as part of the management team and must be able to provide advice and counsel on a wide range of issues. Collaborate effectively with the SAS logistics team, internal and external customers, Government representatives, and program managers while providing solutions and information regarding team performance, budget, employee development and various solutions to logistics challenges at the various sites. The candidate must possess excellent team building, leadership, and people skills. Assuring strict compliance to all company and government policies and regulations. The individual must have the ability to develop and implement strategies and objectives to drive alignment across SAS for consistency and compliance. Through the effective use of resources and key performance indicators, this position will challenge the thought process of "business as usual" and inspire people to make decisions that result in innovative solutions to process barriers while meeting all regulatory compliance objectives. Exceptional customer service, communication skills, and experience in interfacing with all levels of management including customers as required. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard processes, lead process improvement within the organization and drive culture change in support of new Logistics Management models.
