This position is located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK and supports the US Northern Command subordinate Alaska Command. We are looking for a system administrator with proven willingness to maintain and troubleshoot both legacy, current, and emerging technologies. The successful candidate will continue to advance in skill and remain abreast of current security policies protecting business objectives and providing reports to decision makers. Key skills include problem solving, experienced troubleshooter, leadership experience, team building, and helpdesk support.
Provide Helpdesk support and IT services for Department of Defense senior leadership and their staff. Serve as point of contact between government, contractor employees and Frontier Technologies Inc leadership. Duties include:
Perform Information Assurance duties to include conducting emissions security evaluations and validating user training
Perform Tier I technical support on Desktops, Virtual PCs, and Printers
Perform Tier II technical support on Microsoft and VMWare Servers on multiple networks
Perform server and desktop vulnerability mitigation
Track and document equipment movement location
Facilitate setup and teardown of Video Teleconferences for multiple agencies
Certification and training from a recognized professional organization, such as Computing Technology Industry Association, specializing in the education and training of IT professionals. Emphasis should be on Security infrastructure support. The candidate should be familiar with Security best practices, have recent hands-on trouble-shooting experience, and demonstrated security problem-solving skills. Should have some experience addressing identified security incidents.
