Job Description

Cyber Security Engineer responsible for designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting wireless computer network security infrastructure. As a wireless and mobile technology SME provide client consulting on DoD policies and procedures concerning wireless and mobile technologies. Write, manage, and maintain wireless and mobility policies and procedures for the organization. Plans and coordinates computer wireless network security initiatives. Devise solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients. Works with and directs other network and security professionals as required to coordinate efforts to resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes. Responsible for evaluating current network security systems and planning for future technologies. Provide technical expertise to monitor authorized wireless connections as well as detecting, locating, and removing rogue wireless devices. Maintain wireless and mobile Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for associated systems and software. Evaluate mobile applications and provide security overview to mobile devices utilized within the organization.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • 10+ Years IT experience
  • 7+ years experiences in networking/security/ 5+ Wireless networking/security, & wifi design
  • CISSP or equivalent and have or the ability to attain (GAWN) GIAC Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks and (GMOB) GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst certification required
  • Experience with ACAS and Nessus
  • Familiar with RMF and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and procedures
  • Familiar with AirWatch and configuring mobile device security policies
  • Familiar with configuring, installing, planning, and maintaining AirTight systems
  • Technical Administration and in depth experience with Wireless Network Security and Wireless Network Auditing
  • Is competent in most areas of information systems security, including policy, security standards, network, application, database and physical
  • Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
  • Ability to brief senior leaders regarding security vulnerabilities and portray best practices
  • Maintain requirements of DoD 8570.1
  • Travel required
