Job Description

Lead Help Desk Technician

Kaiserslautern, Germany

Duties include repairing computers, printers, digital senders, etc. Performing STIGs & IAVA implementation for these devices, perform imaging of systems. Ability to interact with customers on a daily basis providing guidance and procedures concerning account requests, e-mail, home directories, file access/storage, local procedures, etc. as required to ensure mission success. Candidate will also perform \ Level I Active Directory functions such as unlocking accounts.

1. Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.

2. Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.

3. Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.

4. Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.

5. Provides troubleshooting and support.

6. Participates in the administration of e-mail systems.

7. Provides phone and help-desk support for local and off-site users.

8. VTC support

Additional Responsibilities:

Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software.

8. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities

9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

10. Participates in special projects as required

Education
? A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;? An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;? A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;? 11 years of recent specialized experience
Qualifications

Candidate must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to hire

Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation within 90 days of hire.

Must be able to work independently or part of a team.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Will be required to go through the TESA process
