We are seeking visionary and dynamic Operations leadership for our Southeast Planning & Urbanism Business (inclusive of Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design).
Primary responsibility is to drive operational performance for the Regional Planning & Urbanism business within the Building + Places group with a focus on project performance, staff utilization, resource management, fee strategy, and contracting terms. The role dual reports to the Southeast Region B+P Director of Operations and the Americas Planning & Urbanism Operations Lead and works in collaboration with the B+P Southeast Regional Business Line Leader, the Southeast Planning Lead, and the Southeast Urbanism Lead to drive performance on all Planning & Urbanism operations within the region.

We are seeking an individual with an operations background in Planning, Landscape Architecture, and/or Urban Design with experience practicing in the Southeast U.S.
Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the Planning & Urbanism Business within the Southeast Region, including overall profitability of the group
Work in collaboration with Regional and National Leadership to align operations and allocate resources to execute the strategic growth plan
Lead a culture of innovation and collaboration
Partner with Planning & Urbanism practices in the Southeast Region to drive operational and financial improvements in the business
Champion change – makes the AECOM vision understandable, creates buy-in to the vision by linking day-to-day work to the attainment of the vision, engages and mobilizes others to drive change, reduces organizational ambiguity
Preferred home base in one of the top regional cities (e.g. Atlanta, D.C. Metro, Miami, Charlotte, Jacksonville, etc…).

Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Masterplanning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 10 years' experience including 2 years in leadership
Experience driving operational performance and improvements in an Architecture/Engineering Firm
Master’s degree in Planning, Masterplanning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, or Engineering
Certification or relevant credentialing
Deep knowledge of the marketplace, clients, contracting terms, labor force management, pricing, and Utilization metrics
Experience practicing in the Southeast United States
Other expertise may include concentrated experience in B+P client markets such as; Cities, Government, Transportation, Corporate, Commercial, Justice, Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Higher Education. Each considered an important market sector to the role
